On Monday 10th June the heavens opened and it poured with rain all day and all night.  Despite the inclement weather, Vesta decided that this was the ideal day to present us with her puppies!  It was the day after her grandmother Juno’s birthday and the same day as her mother Luna was born 6 years ago.

By 6.30pm the first puppy had arrived … and she kept going … until midnight.  10 beautiful puppies have now joined us, 6 liver in colour and 4 black.  All look very well and Vesta is doing a great job as a mother.  She is keeping me busy with food preparation: with so many puppies lots of freshly cooked chicken is de rigueur!
